Box API - UpdateInfo - returns 403

I have a developer account and a custom app. I am trying to test the updateInfo to update the filename and description but I get a 403. Error Uploading File exceding 1MB

Using the box API, I am trying to upload a file using the curl curl -X POST https://upload.box.com/api/2.0/files/content \ -H 'Authorization: Bearer " ' -H "Content-Type: multipart/form-data" \ -F attributes='{"name":"Photo.jpg", "parent":{"id":"11446498"}}' \ -F file=@ I am receiving the following error: {"code":"bad_request","help_url":"http://developers.box.com/docs/#errors","status":400,"message":"non-file POST form-data field exceeds set limit of 1000000 bytes"} Why does it say that the limit is 1MB?In the box api documentation says that the file has to be less than 50MB and my file has about 5MBThanks.

Connection exception - Couldn't finish closing the connection to the Box API

I have a custom-app using JWT as auth type. API limitation and definition of a user

Hello and thanks for your help,I have create an application to have a jwt token.With this jwt token I generate token with 1 hour duration.I have see there is a limitation with API to 4 uploads per seconde and per user. But when I generate the token with 1 hour duration, I don't specify any username and I can use and generate simultaneously multiple token and renew it without any problem. So I don't understand if the limit of 4 upload per seconde apply on each token generate so 1 token 4up/s, 2 tokens 8up/s, etc.Or it is apply globally for the application or for pair of public/private key, etc. So thank you very much to help me understand where is the limit. Because I can generate approx 20 token in same time without problem but if I try more than than I encounter the error 429. Sorry for bad english, is not my native language.

Shared Link is always null

I am trying to create a shared link for a file that I uploaded using this curl command: curl -X POST https://upload.box.com/api/2.0/files/content -H 'Authorization: Bearer ' -H "Content-Type: multipart/form-data" -F attributes='{"name":"kat_test.pdf","parent":{"id":""},"shared_link":{"access":"open"}}' -F file=@test.pdf The file is being uploaded with "shared_link" set to "null". Why? Also I found SDK commands to create a shared link on a file but not a curl command. Our backend is in Go, so I am not able to use any of the existing SDKs. Is there a curl command I can run to create a shared link on file?

What is the best way to download file of a different organisation via the Box API

Hi. My use case is quite simple but having difficulty finding appropriate steps around it. There is some other organization, say A, whose selected content I want to download via box API. I am not a part of that organization but a different one. What is the simplest way to go around doing it? I have read lots of question in the forums about it and the one option which seems to be the most simple is that the other organization can make the selected content which I want to download sharable to my user account. Then I can create a Custom App on my account, authenticate as the user who has the files shared to him/her and then use the box file API to download it. Is that correct and the simplest way?Is there any other way to download that selected content that doesn't require us to create a new Custom App. I read that there is another method where they can create a separate custom app on their side with selected properties and then share those credentials with us. JWT Authentication used to access api for admins and co-admins

The problem we're trying to solve:We are currently trying to use Standard Oauth 2.0 (user authentication) to collect from an entire enterprise, the files/folders/metadata of any selected user in the account. But the problem we're running in to, is when we create a co-admin and then use that account to authenticate with, they do not have access to other co-admins or even the admin. Is there a better way to authenticate that would allow us to collect from everyone? Including the admin and co-admins. Currently we are using the As-User header to perform requests as users, but this header does not appear to work on admin-like accounts. We always get a 403, with an "access_denied_insufficient_permissions" error. From looking around, it seems like https://developer.box.com/guides/authentication/jwt/user-access-tokens/ might be a viable option, but would this allow us to create access tokens for the admin/co-admins? This would be quite a big change for us to move to this type of authentication

Testing API call - receive error 400

Hi all, I'm doing some initial testing of an API call, just trying to get a new integration working. I'm new to the Box API... I have a solution I'm creating (it is NOT a web-based app, but has the capability to set cURL options and call URLs). I *think* I have my Post data object correct...but, my initial tests were resulting in an Error = 400 response. Unfortunately, I can only read the response Header on this platform, not the response Body - so I can't see detailed error messages. So I switched over to using Postman, just to try and get some basic tests working. I am also getting a 400 error over there - but the detailed message says that it is a bad 'grant_type'...but it really looks like I have correctly defined & populated the 'grant_type'. Here's an example of the Postman call... yes, a couple of the keys are empty, but I get the same result even when they are filled in; I have also tried this call with Grant_type = 'authorize', and get the same error. Access-Control-Allow-Origin responses in Standard OAuth2.0 App

I'm having a persistent problem (400 Bad Request) using the simple file upload API from an AngularJS app running on localhost. The Box side is configured to use Standard OAuth2.0 User Authentication, I get my bearer token (via another server configured at the Redirect URI) and it's working for other APIs like folder listing and creation. https://localhost:3000 is listed in the app's CORS domains Allowed Origins (folder listing and creation didn't work until this was done). The problem presents in every browser I have tried, Firefox seems to give the most helpful debug information in its Web Developer - Tools - Network - Headers tab. In there, I can see my folder listing operations doing preflight OPTIONS methods on their first pass, they go straight to GET methods on later passes. If the folder I'm looking for isn't present, I do a POST to create it. That all works... I'm slowly uncovering more and more debug info. Undocumented error when requesting a token

React - Unable to pass token to Content Explorer

I seem to be running into an issue implementing Content Explorer in React. I have the api call occurring in componentDidMount() and it is successfully generating a token. I am then able to render the token on screen as an h1 (for testing purposes). I am also able to console.log the token but when I attempt to pass the token into the 'token' parameter in ContentExplorer it does not seem to work. I have also tried making ContentExplorer as a component separate from my api call. I am able to successfully pass the token into this separate component and render it as an h1 but it still will not work correctly when passed into ContentExplorer as a parameter. Here is my code below. In this code I am doing my api call and ContentExplorer in the same component. Any help as to why the token will not function properly would be greatly appreciated. So I have set up the CLI and working with no issues.However most commands require a user's ID. Yes I can get this using the admin console for individual users but that is not a practical solution for hundreds. And for some reason the Managed users report does not include this vital piece of information.So, can I get a users ID using the CLI from their email address?Or any other way to dump a list of all users with their ID, then I could use a CSV?
