Hi,

 

I am Drupal Developer from TCS, we have got some new requirements to manage assets for a site through box.com. We checked the content API and most of the functionalities we require are present over there.

 

But need help with few more items.

1. While uploading a file, we need to make the file un published. Is there a way, we can do the same.

2. We are seeing some information of introducing workflow, but was unable to find any API details, can we get some details on this.

3. We have to set expiry dates for the files,  how can we manage that. Do we need to use retention policies for the same.

4. Is there a way to send to notifcations to users if an asset status is changed or if any asset is going to be expired.

 

Please give us clarifications to the above queries at the earliest.

1. Can you clarify what you mean by unpublished? You can delete a file via the API. 


 


2. Workflow is not directly accesible via the API, but API calls can trigger workflow steps. Workflows are set up via the UI.


 


3. You would need the Governance add-on enabled in our Box instance to access file retention policies via the API. 


 


4. A Box Admin can setup email notifications from Box for certain events, such as when a new file is uploaded.
