We are receiving error messages when trying to open our excel files. We were able to open them earlier this morning, and now we cannot.

To make sure that every angle is checked, could you try the following initial troubleshooting tips to resolve this issue:


  • Can you try to clear cache and cookies for your browser. Here is an article that walks through how to do this on the different browsers that Box supports.

  • Login to Box.com using different browsers (or incognito) and see if you can open your files with no issue

  • Try disabling your browser add-ins/ extensions  

  • Connect to other networks to see if it helps

  • Try disabling your firewall and see if you can open your files
