I am an owner of the box folder but get error " You cannot invite deactivated users to collaborate". I did not deactivate this user. Who can help me?

I have the exact same issue, can someone help, please?  Thanks

Hi all,

This will require our Box Support team to work directly with you. Depending on the affected user who's not active, the Box Support can investigate this and help you with your collaboration. Please submit a support ticket here: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

I am having the same issue, need to collaborate for a project and cant add them to the folder...Any ideas?

I am having the same issue.  Help, it's tax season

I am having the same issue.  I am at an educational institution.  When I received the message, I was instructed by my educational institution to contact "BOX" directly for steps to rectify this situation, and that the issue cannot be resolved by my institution. However, when I attempt to submit a Box Product Support Request, BOX immediately informs me that I am to contact my instructional support to resolve the issue. To BOX Product Support Team:  This is a time sensitive matter;  please reply quickly.

Hi Patricia,

Welcome to the Box Community!

This message usually comes up if the email address you are trying to invite to collaborate is linked to a Box Account that has been deactivated.

The owner of this email would need to contact Box Product Support for further assistance and advise on how to access his Box or you can invite the user using his other email address.

Hope that helps!

Best,

I am having the exact same issue with a user I am trying to assign as a collaborator.

Did anyone find a solution to this?

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you.
